Outdoor and field-based programs are grounded in endurance along with educational and personal growth. These experiences are both physically challenging and deeply transformative. The menstrual cycle can influence a menstruator's experience through fluctuations in energy, recovery, stamina and much more. The menstrual cycle is a vital sign of health. By integrating the fluctuations of the menstrual cycle, we can create outdoor experiences that support the wellbeing of all menstruators.
This workshop equips outdoor facilitators, recreationists, and athletes with an understanding of the menstrual cycle as a vital sign of health and how its monthly fluctuations can shape a menstruator’s experience outdoors.
